A Kingdom Avenue Inc. Initiative
A three-year collaborative initiative uniting seven grassroots organizations
to build the village Englewood's children deserve.
The Englewood Collective Action Project is a healing-centered collaborative uniting seven youth-serving grassroots organizations across Chicago's Englewood community — each bringing unique strengths to a shared purpose.
Guided by the framework Healing → Collaboration → Action, ECAP believes that before organizations can effectively work together, their leaders must first be restored. Over three years, participating organizations move from healing trauma to building trust to taking collective action on behalf of Englewood's young people.
Our shared mission: creating a village for every child, one avenue at a time.
On January 31, 2026, seven organizations gathered at The Healing House in Englewood for ECAP's official launch — the Day of Healing. Watch the recap below to see the spirit, intention, and community that set this movement in motion.

ECAP's three-year journey is built on a progressive framework — each pillar deepening the foundation laid by the one before it.
Pillar One
Before we can build anything together, we must first be restored. ECAP begins with sustained, facilitated healing work — helping organizational leaders process trauma, reclaim wholeness, and show up fully present for the children they serve.
Pillar Two
Healed leaders can trust. ECAP's second pillar focuses on building genuine, deep partnerships between organizations — breaking down silos, sharing resources, and developing the collective capacity to move as one village rather than seven separate entities.
Pillar Three
Unified and resourced, ECAP partners take coordinated collective action — advocating for Englewood's youth, shaping policy, securing community assets, and demonstrating what's possible when a village moves with one heart and one purpose.
Seven Englewood-based grassroots organizations have committed to this three-year partnership — each bringing a unique strength, and each an equal partner in the work.
